Site update, broken links.
The software that our site runs on, E107, had a major update. I am aware that the download section is not appearing and am trying to resolve as quickly as possible.

Still alive.
So as you can tell I have not added any new content in awhile. Half-Life isn't dead, just when a game gets to a certain age not much new comes out. I have stopped running a HL server for now but still enjoy playing when I can. You can find some of my tutorials now in the guides section of Steam.

Why have I not been able to play much recently? My wife Wendy and I, and step-daughter Courtney, have started our own business. A few years ago Courtney had the opportunity to go to an anime convention where some people where cosplaying. Since then she has dragged us into this great world we have never seen. Wendy does a majority of the work. She is the seamstress, conmom (carries stuff around con), team motivator, video editor, and does a majority of the site updates. She is also the one that helps bring Courtney back to reality by explaining why some things cannot be 100% accurate when bringing something to life that does not truly exist. I have gotten the nickname "Propdad" from one of our cosplay friends Johnny and Junkers. I am responsible for bringing weapons and props that exist in a digital world to life. I also do most of the photography and video at the conventions. Courtney is the creative director and model.

Together we have gone to some great conventions, met some wonderful people, and made great friends. Below is a list of links where our work can be seen. If you enjoy this type of stuff please feel free to follow us on Facebook. That is where we do most of the updates.

A bit of personal news.
My name is Jay and I am the main admin here at stu-pidaso.net. I met my wife of one year now while playing HLDM back in early 2004 The following is the story of how we met. I had just gone through my second divorce and Wendy was going through her first. Neither of us were looking to get back into a new relationship anytime soon.  Around the same time the Chappelle show was playing a bit about True Hollywood Stories with Charlie Murphy, brother of Eddie.

While playing Half-Life online one night someone decided to change their name to Rick James.  I changed mine to Charlie Murphy to go along with the gag.  At about this time Wendy had just had an argument with her ex to be and was looking to blow off some some steam by going online to play.  While looking at names of players in servers she saw her husbands name, Charlie Murphy.  She thought "that idiot is playing with his own name" and decided she was going to go in and put a whoopin' on him.  Little did she know it would go the other way.  After a few times of being killed by me she realized I was not who she thought I was. We got to talking and over days and months built a great friendship and I ended up moving to New York to be with her just over a year later.  In 2011 we got married and the story continues to write itself...

HLWPP
New page up today, HLWPP.  What is HLWPP?  Sadly I am noticing that many of the HL resource sites are disappearing.  While not surprised at this I would like to start trying to preserve the sites by hosting them on my webspace.  With my hosting provider I have plenty of room and up to 100 subdomains so this should not be a problem.  If you know of any sites or site owners that would allow me to mirror their site please let me know!

New map cycle
Although I do not get to play anywhere near as much as I would like, I am still here. Since my site is about modifying Half-Life and improving experience I have decided to change the map cycle to have practice or skill building maps. Most of them are ones I have collected and a few of them I map myself. All the other maps are still on the server and can be called up by typing rockthevote while in game.
